Our Christian Foundations studies and Vineyard theology align on most essentials. As you work through each study, connect it to the kingdom-of-God lens you will hear in a Vineyard church.
Vineyard theology is kingdom-of-God centred: God's reign through Jesus, by the Spirit, in the Church, for the world. Vineyard SA Statement of Faith
| Study | Vineyard addition |
|---|---|
| 1. Salvation | Add: we are released from Satan's domain and enter God's kingdom reign — not only forgiven privately. |
| 2. Assurance | Spirit's witness (Rom 8:16) fits Vineyard strongly — assurance and Spirit ministry go together. |
| 4. The Bible | Scripture is final authority. Welcome the Spirit's leading, but test every impression against the Word. |
| 5. Worship | Vineyard: worship for God's pleasure and spiritual worship by the Spirit. Contemporary, expressive worship is normal. |
| 6. Church | Keep the curriculum's metaphors (family, hospital, school, army). Add: Church is the instrument of the kingdom. |
| 7. Spirit baptism | Strongest overlap. Vineyard: indwelling for all believers; filling/empowering (often conscious) for ministry; all biblical gifts; laying on of hands. Welcome the Spirit without forcing. |
| 8–9. Baptism & Communion | Vineyard calls both ordinances, available to all believers. Ask your church about baptism and communion. |
| 11. Giving | Follow the curriculum's generosity principles and your local church's teaching on tithe vs freewill offering. |
See the Statement of Faith and talk with your pastors. Christian Foundations is your pathway; your Vineyard church is your family — keep both in view.
